About this build.

Originally an XL883N Nightster Sportster, the Sports Café Racer came into the workshop for a complete SS&C makeover.

Modifications started on the custom fabricated gas tank with knee recesses; this paired with the RSD café racer seat gives a fresh café racer look. Other RSD components include clip-ons, gas cap, café gauge and headlight relocator. These parts all add subtle changes to the look of the bike.

The framework was fabricated to remove the rear fender rails and add a strengthening loop for the underside of the seat. This achieved the look we were after but without compromising the strength of the bike. The rear foot pegs were also changed for rear sets to add to the look and feel of the bike.

Old style Avon Speed masters were fitted front and rear with signature stop and tail lights fitted to the rear lower of the swing arm. Harley-Davidson nostalgic grips, Rough craft air breather and Vance & Hines Stainless competition pipes were added. The classic blue and gold leaf custom paint job is the finishing touch to a very special sportster.
The Sports Café Racer once again is another example of how versatile the sportster range can be.
