About this build.
40 Licks is a total Roland Sands inspired motorcycle. In our early relationship with Roland we wanted to build a motorcycle for a client who was in awe of the original VROD built by the RSD team in LA.
After sourcing the perfect donor motorcycle, a 2004 VRSCA the Speed shop set about stripping the bike down to the frame and splitting the motor for a fully polished finish.
The rear swing arm was removed and replaced with a Performance Machine Phatail kit, housing the 280mm rear wheel and tyre. The brakes were upgraded again with PM and the rear tail section replaced with a Sports bike style tailpiece. Ohlins rear shocks, clip on bars, modified inverted forks, clip ons, number board, and front radiator cowl made in-house are just a few from the list of parts that add to the look of 40 licks. The candy paint and gold leaf were the perfect final touch to set this bike off.
