The Shaw Speed & Custom shop has always said that customisation is for everyone. The speed shop works with all budgets and believes that giving people what they want and working with their budgets is as important as building world a world champion winning bike.

The XLTT is a perfect example of this, working within the client’s budget and finding the right donor bike for the project whilst still creating an impressive SS&C look.

The donor was used was a 2008 XL1200L, the bike was tatty and had seen better days so the team set about with the full overhaul of the bike.

The wheels were replaced with profile rims and continental tyres, this gives the bike a racer looking. The sprocket and belt were replaced with a chain conversion and front custom sprocket cover.

A chopped rear fender and lowered suspension create a completely new stance for the bike. A moto gadget speedo was fitted into the headlight and creates a real talking piece. The indicators have been relocated to the rear underside of the swing arm.

The chrome was replaced with polished engine cases. Rough Craft pipes and air breather were added to enhance the engines power.
